Pittsburgh Steelers training camp has been relatively quiet in terms of fights between players. However, there was one scrum this week between offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva and defensive tackle Cam Heyward. The two got heated in practice Wednesday but the reason for the fight is somewhat confusing.
Villanueva spoke to the media and claimed the fight stemmed from a disagreement with how the final season of “Game of Thrones” went. Villanueva claims the last season was lacking and could have done more but Big Al says Heyward thought the final season was great and was happy with it.
“There’s no place for fighting in training camp. It’s childish and unprofessional for both of us,” Villanueva said. “Again, it’s just a very different opinion than he has of the show.”
The reason this joke works is because of Villanueva’s delivery. His ability to stay in character the entire time makes this hilarious.
