Steelers activate DT Carlos Davis to 53-man roster

When the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, they should have a little extra help on the defensive line. The team announced on Saturday that defensive lineman Carlos Davis has been activated from IR and will be eligible to play on Sunday. Davis had missed time on IR due to a knee injury.

Defensive linemen Cam Heyward and Isiahh Loudermilk both missed Friday’s practice with an undisclosed illness but weren’t given a designation on the injury report.

No one expects Davis to come in and shake up the run defense but he’s got some experience and has been serviceable when healthy.

In addition, the Steelers elevated swing lineman Chaz Green from the practice squad for this week’s game. He’s filling in for Joe Haeg who was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
