Steaua Bucharest facing UEFA sanctions over racist chants vs Aberdeen

Steuau Bucharest are set to face sanctions from UEFA after their fans were reported for racism after their Europa League win against Aberdeen.

Steaua fans chanted ' Death to the Gypsies' at the end of the game and it was noted in the delegate's report after he was alerted to it by campaigners against racism.

Their own stadium announcer demanded the fans stop the chant two weeks ago in a derby against Rapid Bucharest and UEFA has sanctioned them in the past for the same reason.

Last year, they were fined £20,000 and forced to close several sections of their ground for a match against LASK Linz.
