Steaks, chocolate and fizzy drinks among bank holiday bargains at Tesco, SuperValu, Dunnes and more

Ireland is gearing up for the May bank holiday, with many people set to enjoy a long weekend.

Anyone looking to treat themselves or stock up should check out Ireland’s shops and supermarkets which have announced some incredible offers.

Customers could save a lot of money by shopping around, with the likes of Lidl, SuperValu, Aldi, Tesco and Dunnes announcing cheap food and drink.

To save you time, we have gathered the top bank holiday bargains from a range of shops.

Lidl

Fizzy drink lovers can nab up to two dozen cans of Coke for just €10.

Lidl shops across Ireland have a special deal on Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero running from Thursday April 28 until Wednesday May 4.

Shoppers can mix and match two boxes of 10 or 12 packs for €10.

Some of Lidl's other bank holiday offers include two award-winning Irish Angus Rib Eye Steaks for €9.99, an eight pack of Guinness for €13.49 and a Sharp 42” UHD smart TV for €309.99.

Lidl also offer a Lidl Plus app for extra savings on certain products.

SuperValu

SuperValu have a flash four for €4 deal on selected treats, biscuits and sweets.

A wide range of products are included in the deal including packs of KitKats, bottles of Lucozade and multi-packs of Wotsit crisps.

The flash deal is live now and runs while supplies last, although shoppers are being warned that customer quotas apply.

Some of their other top bank holiday offers include a €5 breakfast deal with everything you need for a full Irish, a steak sale with 33% off certain cuts and a 70cl bottle of Dingle Gin for €25.

SuperValu also offer a Real Rewards card to earn points every time you shop.

Aldi

If you’re planning to spend the bank holiday weekend outdoors Aldi have a range of Garden special buys on offer to help spruce up your garden.

You can nab a 4-in-1 electric weed burner for €34.99, a Keter garden storage box for €39.99 or a Pewter effect trough for €19.99.

Once the garden’s tidied, if you’re feeling like dining al fresco, they also have a pizza oven for €49.00 or an affordable disposable BBQ grill tray for €2.99, as well as great deals in their food BBQ range.

Tesco

You can stock up on bank holiday treats in Tesco stores, which are running an any three for €3 deal on a range of products including 1L bottles of MiWadi, sharing bars of Dairy Milk and multipacks of some Tayto crisps including Cheesatees, Skips and Meanies.

Some of their other bank holiday offers include any two for €3.75 on a range of fizzy drinks, three for €10 on a range of meat and fish products and a 70cl bottle of Aperol for 10.00.

Shoppers can use their Club Card for extra discounts on some products.

Dunnes

Dunnes Stores have announced some bank holiday food and drink offers, including a massive 20% sale on wine and champagne .

Some of their most popular bottles of reds, whites and roses are down to just €8 - perfect to enjoy over the long weekend or to stock up on.

They also have a three for two mix and match deal on their new Italian range, which includes pizzas, garlic bread and pasta.

Shoppers also get €10 off their next shop every time they spend €50 in Dunnes.
