Staycations NI: Holiday homes in Portrush perfect for exploring the North Coast

As the sun has been shining across Northern Ireland, lots of people are wanting to book a getaway.

With foreign travel not being possible for many of us, a staycation here is a great option as an alternative break for a few days.

We've put together some great options for you to stay in Portrush, allowing you to explore the North Coast.

They'll be a great base for visiting the different beaches, the Giant's Causeway, Ramore Head, Dunluce Castle and more.

The Grove

The Grove (Luxury Portrush Holiday Homes)

This property has six bedrooms, sleeps up to 14 people with prices starting from £195 a night.

It's a great option for a weekend away for big families, is beautifully decorated throughout and has a large patio area, with dogs also welcome for an additional fee.

A minimum stay applies of seven nights in July and August, or two nights during the rest of the year.

There is also a similar option available, The Grange which sleeps up to 13 with prices starting from £175 a night.

The Green

This property is a golf-themed, five bedroom property with a patio area and garage.

Also a minimum stay of seven nights in July and August, or two nights during the rest of the year.

Sleeps up to 11, with prices starting from £165 a night.

Harbour Heights B&B

This bed and breakfast is available to book on Airbnb overlooking West Strand Beach, the historic harbour and Inishowen Peninsula.

This Victorian house was built in 1870 and is situated close to bars and restaurants.

A non sea-facing room is priced around £101 per night, and an average of £111 per night for a sea-facing view, with no minimum stay.

Portrush Harbour Townhouse

A six bedroom property based on Kerr Street that can sleep up to 19 guests, with impressive views to Donegal.

Accommodation is over three floors, with a child friendly garden, use of BBQ, trampoline and bikes.

Minimum stay is two nights, with July and August already fully booked, but some availability left for June and September.

It's let from £200 per night, with a surcharge for more than 8 guests there is a surcharge and prices in high season and weekends differ.

Studio Apartment

This Victorian Townhouse is situated in the centre of Portrush and suits everyone from single travellers to large groups.

The host says it's a perfect location to explore the main tourist attractions and is within walking distance of two blue flag beaches and top class eateries.

Two studio apartments are set price of £110 per night with at two night min stay.
