Hyatt guests with an American Airlines AAdvantage account can earn 1,500 AAdvantage bonus miles with each Hyatt Place or Hyatt House stay through June 30, 2018. If you’re looking for a way to bank up some extra frequent flyer miles this spring for your 2nd half 2018 travel plans, you now have another tool in your travel rewards toolbelt.

As an everyday travel reward, you can already earn 500 AAdvantage miles per Hyatt stay. This bonus means you can either earn 1,000 AAdvantage miles or 1,500 AAdvantage miles per stay based on your preference at check-in.
Earn Up To 1,500 AAdvantage Bonus Miles Per Stay
Between February 20 and June 30, 2018, you can earn either 1,000 or 1,500 AAdvantage miles with each stay every time you stay at a Hyatt House or Hyatt Place property.
You will need to make your decision at check-in for how many points to earn.
Option 1: 1,500 AAdvantage Miles
At check-in, you must specify you want to earn the standard 500 AAdvantage miles reward plus the 1,000 bonus miles to earn 1,500 AAdvantage miles.
Option 2: 1,000 AAdvantage Miles and World of Hyatt Base Points
When you don’t specifically request the 500 AAdvantage miles at check-in, you’ll earn regular World of Hyatt base points for the eligible spend plus the 1,000 AAdvantage bonus miles.
This can be the better option if you want to earn AAdvantage and Hyatt bonus points with each stay.
Who Can Earn 1,000 AAdvantage Bonus Miles?
New and existing World of Hyatt and American Airlines AAdvantage members can participate in this promotion.
To start earning the 1,000 bonus miles, you need to register your World of Hyatt and AAdvantage member information before April 30, 2018.
If you don’t have an account with one of the loyalty programs yet, you can create one in a matter of minutes and instantly link it to the promotion.
After registering both accounts, you will automatically earn 1,000 AAdvantage bonus miles with every Hyatt House or Hyatt Place stay through June 30, 2018. The only decision you need to make is to earn World of Hyatt points (as usual) or an additional 500 AAdvantage miles.
Redeeming Your Bonus AAdvantage Miles
You have several different redemption options for your bonus AAdvantage miles. Here are a few examples to book an award flight in either coach or a premium cabin.
U.S. Short-Haul Flights for 7,500 Miles
When you fly economy for less than 500 miles, a one-way American Airlines flight only costs 7,500 miles. This is one of the cheapest award flights for domestic, short-haul flights.
Intra-Europe Flights for 12,500 Miles
It might also make sense to book a one-way flight within Europe for 12,500 miles in economy class. A cheaper option is booking a British Airways flight for 4,500 Avios, but using AAdvantage miles can be a good secondary option if you don’t have any Avios.
Short-Haul South American Flights
Flights within South America aren’t always the most affordable. But, if you want to book a flight within a country like Peru or Argentina, a one-way flight can only cost 6,000 AAdvantage miles in economy class.
Summary
If you fly American Airlines, this is one of the easiest ways ever to earn bonus AAdvantage miles. All you have to do is register by April 30, 2018, and stay at a Hyatt House or Hyatt Place. And, you can still earn your base Hyatt points if you choose.
