Stay Classy

Children know that Christmas is a time for dreaming big, but there’s no reason adults can’t dream big too this holiday season. And if your dream involves moving into a beautiful luxury condominium, close to plenty of green space but still in the heart of the downtown core, then do yourself a favour and visit the sales gallery and showroom of The Residences at Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.

Due to be completed in 2020, The Residences at Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok are just one part of the enormous mixed-use development project by Siam Sindhorn Co., Ltd. that is currently transforming much of Langsuan Road (a busy stretch of valuable real estate that runs roughly from Chit Lom BTS Station to the top end Lumpini Park). This collection of completed, and soon-to-be-completed developments along the length of Langsuan are the individual properties that collectively form the aptly named Sindhorn Village, a title which reflects the integrated neighbourhood feel these carefully designed hotels, residences, retail areas, and green spaces will bring to this already vibrant city street and its immediate surroundings.

Several properties under the Sindhorn Village umbrella have already reached completion, including the stately Sindhorn Residence, which was the first project to be finished. Two other prestigious properties have since been completed - namely the super-luxury Sindhorn Lumpini, and the equally impressive Sindhorn Tonson (located on the corner where nearby Tonson Road connects with Sarasin Road) - both of which face directly onto the verdant green expanse of Bangkok’s famed Lumpini Park.

With such highly acclaimed precedents already in place, it’s no surprise that The Residences at Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok are one of the most eagerly anticipated, upcoming residential projects in the city. Ownership of these leasehold condominium units extends 30 years -with an option to renew for another 30 years - and since the building will be property managed under the Kempinski hotel brand, residents can look forward to the finest in services and provisions.

The Residences at Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok offers 231 accommodations in total, including spacious studios, an array of 1-4 bedroom units, and two rooftop penthouses. For those who can’t wait to have a peek at what the future holds for prospective home buyers, the building’s official sales gallery on Langsuan Road has a gorgeous 139 sq.m two-bedroom show unit available for viewing, open daily from 9am till 6pm.

The tour of The Residences at Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok’s sales gallery begins with a look at the exquisitely detailed, architecturally accurate scale-model of Langsuan and its neighbouring streets, with all the Sindhorn properties lit from within so they stand out. This model gives visitors an interesting bird’s eye perspective of the entire Sindhorn Village project, which covers 56 rai and incorporates multiple super luxury residences, five star hotels, retail spaces, and plenty of greenery and gardens.

Next to the tabletop rendition of this future neighbourhood stands a much larger scale version of The Residences at Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok building itself. Towering 34 stories above the street, this beautifully designed property will definitely be an impressive addition to the city skyline when construction is complete. This model also allows visitors to see the details of the building’s street access - from both Langsuan and Tonson roads - as well as the grand main entrance - which faces away from the street - and the massive 30th floor outdoor saltwater swimming pool and recreation area that will offer residents absolutely stunning sunset views.

These sales gallery scale models certainly offer potential clients a detailed overview of the soon-to-be-completed project, but nothing beats seeing the interiors life-size, in all their well-appointed glory. Ask to take a walk through the two-bedroom show unit and prepare to be dazzled by the high ceilings, brand-name appliances, finely crafted cabinetry, and various elegant décor details that come standard in all room varieties.

The gleaming kitchen here is fitted with a sleek, built-in oven and microwave unit from Bosch, as well as a wall-flushed, 2-door Liebherr refrigerator with a 2-door freezer below. The kitchen floor is white polished marble, and a large, bright white kitchen island from Poggenpohl separates this area from the adjacent living room. At this time of year it’s easy to imagine a tall Christmas tree set up in the far corner of this spacious family gathering area, gaily decorated with lights and tinsel and strewn with presents below. The living room, in turn, leads out to the wide balcony - a feature that every dwelling here shares - which is separated from the interior by triple layered insulated glass panels with double Low-E coating. It’s also worth noting that 100% of the balcony is usable, as the air conditioner compressor is skilfully hidden elsewhere (in fact, there’s no noise at all inside from the unit’s built-in, state-of-the-art, climate control features).

The master bedroom is suitably grand, with American walnut hardwood flooring and a massive his and hers walk-in closet space by Poliform. The walk-in closet leads to the luxurious en-suite bathroom, fitted with Duravit sink, Axor-Hansgrohe faucet, and a very hi-tech Toto brand smart toilet from Japan, which senses your arrival and lifts its seat automatically. As in the kitchen the floors are marble, but here the walls are too. And in this particular unit, a custom made stand-alone bathtub - perfect for an indulgent soaking - dominates the floor space just in front of the separate shower stall.

The second bedroom, neatly placed between the master bedroom and the living room, is equally lovely, with plenty of natural light, ample closet space, and its very own en suite bathroom. This two-bedroom show unit also comes with a dedicated laundry room (complete with Bosch brand washer and dryer), a guest bathroom (making three bathrooms in total), and recessed energy efficient pod lights in the ceilings.

It’s not hard to picture one’s self settling in quite comfortably to this super luxury development, which exudes class and sophistication at every turn. So dream big and maybe this year Santa will help your wishes come true.
