'Stats are identical!' - The Alex Iwobi comments which has baffled some Arsenal supporters

Alex Iwobi has spoken out about his form under Unai Emery this season, and it's safe to say a number of Arsenal supporters are confused.

Opinions on the Nigeria international have always been split, even more in this campaign as the attacking midfielder has shown glimpses of improvement following the appointment of the Spanish tactician.

However, there has been times where inconsistently has prompted some supporters to lose patience with his stop-start progress.

And Iwobi has a message for his critics.

"I am meant to be strong and obviously everybody has his own opinion, I don’t really look at that one,” he told Goal . "I try to dwell on the positive and not dwell on the negative as much as I can. If I make a mistake I try to use it as a lesson and try to improve on it.

"We have a lot of good fans as well.

"They are entitled to their own opinion and I am happy with the progress I have made this season. I have been able to get more goals than I had in the previous season and I have had a few assists.

"As long as I am progressing and trying to do my best for the team that is what really matters."

The comments on his end product has got some Gunners supporters talking on social media.

Whilst Iwobi does have four goals and six assists to his name across all competitions this season, his goal involvement has dipped since the turn of the year and many fans have pointed this out.
