Stats and Highlights: Steph Curry leads Warriors past Bucks with 41 points

Although Giannis Antetokounmpo was ruled out for Tuesday night’s contest at Chase Center, the Milwaukee Bucks tilt with the Golden State Warriors still featured a notable battle in the backcourt.

Without Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday led the Bucks with 29 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the floor with five assists and three boards. However, it wasn’t enough to match Steph Curry.

After scoring 11 points in the first half, the two-time Most Valuable Player caught fire in the second half, dropping 30 points to help lead Golden State past Milwaukee, 122-121. Curry finished the contest with a game-high 41 points on 14-of-21 shooting from the floor with six rebounds and four assists in 38 minutes.

With the Warriors trailing by 10 points with 4:31 remaining in the fourth quarter, Curry hit a flurry of shots to charge a comeback run, including some quick trigger triples.

Along with hitting five 3-pointers on 10 attempts from deep, Curry finished a bevy of tough layups at the rim against Milwaukee’s defense led by Holiday.

Curry’s 41 point effort against Milwaukee was the latest impressive performance during a thrilling run from the seven-time All-Star. Over his last four games, Curry hasn’t scored less than 32 points in each contest, averaging 36.5 points on 52.9% shooting from the floor and 40.4% from long distance.

With Russell Westbrook and the Washington Wizards slated to land in the Bay Area on Friday, the Warriors will need to lean on Curry again for another battle in the backcourt.
