Stats and Highlights: Steph Curry hits 11 triples on way to 57 points vs. Mavs

Before the Super Bowl, Steph Curry and Luka Doncic headlined a thrilling battle between the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night. The duo of All-Star guards didn’t disappoint.

Although Doncic got the last laugh, scoring 42 points in the Mavericks’ 134-132 victory, Curry’s performance stole the show. The two-time Most Valuable Player tallied an electrifying 57 points on 19-of-31 shooting from the field. Curry added five assists and two rebounds in 37 minutes.

On his way to a game-high 57 points, Curry caught fire from beyond the arc, drilling 11 triples, including a deep jumper from the Mavericks’ logo.

It didn’t take long for Curry to heat up. The six-time All-Star notched 30 points in the first half in Dallas. To cap-off his fierce first half, Curry drilled a highlight-worthy off-balanced triple.

Adding to his long-distance clinic, Curry displayed a lethal stepback to create space for an open shot in the corner.

Following Curry’s performance in Dallas, the sharpshooting guard is averaging 29.4 points on 48.1% shooting from the field and 42.5% from beyond the arc. Through 23 games, Curry has registered seven contests with 35 or more points for the Warriors, including a 62 point and 57 point performance.

Curry will be back on the floor in Texas on Monday for the start of a back-to-back against the San Antonio Spurs.
