With the Golden State Warriors riding a two-game losing streak heading into the Big Apple, Steve Kerr’s rotation could use a boost. Along with Steph Curry’s return from an illness, the Warriors’ thin frontcourt welcomed much-needed reinforcements.
After missing 11 games with a sprained wrist, James Wiseman joined Kevon Looney and Curry in their return to the lineup on Tuesday against the New York Knicks.
In his first appearance at Madison Square Garden, Wiseman didn’t miss a beat, tallying 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field in 16 minutes. The rookie added a pair of boards and an assist off the bench.
On his way to scoring in double-figures, Wiseman powered home a handful of emphatic dunks. Shortly after checking into the contest, Wiseman started his effort against the Knicks with a quick two-handed slam.

Following his early dunk, Wiseman connected with Curry for another strong two-handed dunk.

After linking with Curry, Wiseman finished another explosive dunk on a one-handed bounce pass from Draymond Green.

Along with his flurry of dunks, the Memphis product finished another attempt on a fastbreak with an acrobat layup at the rim after a spin move through the New York’s defense.

To end a four-game road swing with a split record, the Warriors will need to lean on Wiseman on Wednesday against Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner and the Indiana Pacers.
