Statistical breakdown: How the Commanders and Dolphins stack up ahead of Week 13 game

The Miami Dolphins have the NFL’s best offense. Miami (8-3) has one of the NFL’s top passers (Tua Tagovailoa), top receivers (Tyreek Hill) and running backs (Raheem Mostert).

Meanwhile, the Commanders are so bad defensively they’ve traded their top edge rushers (Montez Sweat and Chase Young) and just last week fired defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio and secondary coach Brent Vieselmeyer.

Heading into the 2023 season, Washington’s defense was supposed to be a team strength. Instead, it’s been the offense that has proven to be the more consistent unit. And while the Commanders offense remains a work in progress, it is year one of a new system, whereas the defense was in the fourth year under Del Rio.

How do the Dolphins and Commanders stack up statistically? We break it down.
