Station Road, Shotts to be closed until mid-December due to a burst water mains

A burst water mains has caused a need for emergency repairs on Station Road, Shotts.

Work is expected to last until around mid December and access to all vehicles, except work, is restricted.

Pedrestian access will be maintained at all times, although bus routes will be affected.

A tweet from JMB Bus said: "Due to subsidence Stane Brae, Shotts is closed. We will operate a shuttle bus covering Dkyehead to the health centre where passengers can alight and connect with our normal service at Stane Corner (Works Corner).

Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing access to the south side should proceed on B717 Benhar Road, B7057 Shotts Road, B7066 Hirst Road, A73, A71, B717 Burnbrae Road to the south side of the closure.

Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing access to the north side should proceed vice versa.
