Statement released as emergency services called to rescue man in Stapleford

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service have issued a comment following an incident in a Nottinghamshire town. Crews from Stapleford, Highfields and London Road attended the incident at 7.30am on Thursday, January 5, after they were called to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service.

A mam suffering from spinal discomfort needed to be rescued, which led to all three emergency services attending the scene in Pasture Road and Hickings Lane, Stapleford. The incident led to a build up of traffic at rush hour.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said: "At 7.30am on Thursday 5 January, we were called to assist EMAS on Pasture Road, Stapleford. Stapleford, Highfields and London Road were in attendance, where one male with spinal discomfort was rescued using our aerial ladder platform.
