Statement released after 2 fire engines block Radford Boulevard

A statement has been released after firefighters were called to a blaze in a kitchen this morning.

Two fire engines were parked up in Radford Boulevard at the junction with Denman Street Central as crews dealt with an incident in a home on the street.

In a statement, a spokesperson at Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews were called at 11.45am to Radford Boulevard.

"Highfields and London Road crews attended. A fire started in the kitchen.

"No tools were used but we gave out fire safety advice. The fire is now extinguished and crews left at midday."

The fire service added that nobody was injured during the incident.
