Statement issued after police plane spotted circling over Bulwell

A police plane was circling over Bulwell and surrounding areas on Wednesday night, March 10, in a search for suspects.

Nottinghamshire police officers alerted air support after a car failed to stop last night.

As a result, the National Police Air Service spent some time hovering over the Bulwell, Highbury Vale and Top Valley areas from around 8pm.

A spokesperson at the force said at around 9pm on March 10: "We had an incident running which has now concluded. We were looking for some suspects in Bulwell.

"It started after a vehicle failed to stop. It was abandoned by the suspects.

"We didn't catch the people but we have now collected the vehicle."

The spokesperson added plane would possibly also be sent to a "separate planned incident shortly".
