Statement issued after air ambulance landed near house in Bulwell

An air ambulance had to be called after a "medical emergency" was reported in a Nottingham suburb.

Paramedics were called to an address in Bulwell at around 12.30pm on Thursday May 27. The air ambulance was spotted landing on the Aspen Estate.

A patient was taken to Queen's Medical Centre via double-crewed ambulance.

A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service added: “We received a call at 12.39pm on 27 May to a private address in Bulwell. The caller reported a medical emergency.

"We sent two paramedics in fast response cars and a double-crewed ambulance.

"The air ambulance was also in attendance.

"One patient was taken to Queen's Medical Centre via double-crewed ambulance."
