Statement after fire service closed road in Stapleford during incident

The fire service has issued a statement after a road in Stapleford was closed during an incident.

Pasture Road was taped off near the junction with Hickings Lane from around 7.25pm on Monday, April 5.

Residents reported seeing a cordon and a crew from Stapleford Fire Station attended the scene alongside an ambulance from East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS).

The road was impassable to vehicles at the time.

Speaking of the incident, a spokesman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service told Nottinghamshire Live had helped EMAS with a job.

He said: "We were just assisting the ambulance service.

"The road was not closed until around 7.35pm. We left the scene at around 7.55pm."

East Midlands Ambulance Service has also been contacted for more information regarding the incident..
