Statement after air ambulance lands in Nottingham park

The air ambulance landed in a Nottingham park following a medical emergency.

East Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the scene alongside Nottinghamshire police and the air ambulance and a patient was taken to hospital.

The air ambulance landed in Southglade Park in Bestwood at around 8.25pm on June 9. It left the scene at around 9pm.

An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 8.02pm yesterday, Wednesday 9 June to a private address in Top Valley, Nottingham to assist with a medical emergency.

"We sent two paramedics in two ambulance cars, a crewed ambulance and the air ambulance was also in attendance. We transported one patient to Queen’s Medical Centre."

There were reports of a number of car alarms sounding in the area at the time.
