Statement after air ambulance landed in Woodthorpe

East Midland Ambulance Service has issued a statement after the air ambulance landed in the Woodthorpe area.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said they were called to a private address in response to a medical emergency.

A paramedic in a car, a crewed ambulance and the Hazardous Area Response Team also attended the scene.

One local resident told Nottinghamshire Live they saw the air ambulance land from Arno Vale Road, Arnold, at 10.50am.

They said it took off at 11.42am.

A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 10.25am on 7 May to a private address in Woodthorpe, Nottingham.

"The caller reported that there was a medical emergency. We sent a paramedic in a car, a crewed ambulance, our Hazardous Area Response Team and the air ambulance. We are currently still on scene.”
