A New York State trooper miraculously walked away after he was struck by a car during a traffic stop.
The officer was speaking with a man driving a Mercedes on the shoulder of the New York State Thruway on Sunday (15 March) when he was hit from behind by Kevin Ariel Cunache Moyolema.
The 24-year-old had rear-ended the patrol car, which was then pushed into the Mercedes, which then struck the officer. Bodycam footage shows the collision and the trooper walking away moments later.
He was treated at a nearby hospital for minor injuries and later released. Moyolema was transported to Westchester Medical Center for minor body pain evaluation.
