State ruling party leader involved: BJP’s Chitra Wagh

PUNE: On Tuesday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and party state unit vice president Chitra Wagh called for the state government to bear the complete medical expenses of the girl. She further alleged that the police department was taking a “suspicious stand” in the crime. “Leaders of the ruling parties in the state are involved in the matter,” claimed Wagh.

She demanded action against a Shiv Sena leader for alleged harassment of the girl. Wagh said the survivor was in touch with BJP leaders, but her phone is no longer reachable.
