Tyler Adams Leeds United transfer latest as West Ham eye midfielder as Declan Rice replacement

West Ham United are the latest side interested in Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams despite his debut campaign in the Premier League ending in relegation. However, the combative midfielder has shown enough in the top flight to give him another shot at cracking the most competitive league in world football.

The Whites key man missed their final Premier League run-in with an injury and was unable to play his part in their survival bid. Relegation to the Championship means a move away from Elland Road this summer seems likely with a number of top-flight clubs keen on his services.

An impressive stint leading up to the World Cup, then a solid tournament with the USMNT shone a spotlight on Adams, who joined the Whites from RB Leipzig last summer. Tellingly, Leeds' form nosedived after Adams picked up a hamstring injury in March that ruled him out of the club's final 12 games.

Brighton and Aston Villa have been linked with a £25million move for the US international, while Newcastle, Sevilla and Manchester United have been tentatively linked with Adams. Leeds Live has taken a look at the latest transfer interest in the midfielder and where he's most likely to end up.

West Ham want Tyler Adams as Declan Rice replacement

The Daily Mail claims West Ham United are plotting a move for Tyler Adams as interest in Declan Rice begins to heat up. Both Arsenal and Manchester City have seen bids knocked back for the England international.

The Hammers are reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of £100 million, although both clubs are yet to meet that mark. The report claims Adams has a relegation clause inserted into his contract which could see the American international leave for a cut price fee.

Leeds are yet bring in a new manager or new signings as they await the EFL giving their takeover the green light.

Brighton ready to firm up Adams' interest

Brighton are ready to firm up their interest in Leeds United's Tyler Adams, according to reports. The Seagulls are keen to make a move for the US international, who appears to be set to leave Elland Road this summer following relegation.

Brighton could be about to land a sizeable fee for Moises Caicedo with Chelsea set to launch a bid for the Ecuadorian who almost joined Arsenal in January.

Aston Villa keen on Adams signature

Earlier this month, Adams was linked with a £25million move to Unai Emery's Aston Villa. The Villains, along with Brighton, are understood to be the two front runners for his signature at this stage.

Emery's side are keen on bolstering their options ahead of a return to Europe next season. Recent reports claims Villa are keen to press on with a move for Adams.

Everton tracking Adams after Leeds relegation

Sean Dyche's side are said to have a quartet of Leeds United players on their transfer hit list. Adams, Jack Harrison, Cyrsencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto are reportedly targets for the Toffees.

Everton are likely to be further down the pecking order given the European football on offer at both Brighton and Villa, but they've been known to splash the cash in recent windows - albeit not to much success.

Nottingham Forest to step up Adams pursuit

The Mail claims Nottingham Forest were stepping up their pursuit of Adams on June 6th after the Whites were relegated from the Premier League. The report claims the Tricky Trees are hoping to streamline their squad with the arrival of the United States international this summer.

Steve Cooper's side signed 30 players last year but have released six players including Jesse Lingard and Andre Ayew. The report claims Adams' agent has met with potential clubs and remains one of a number of high-profile players who could leave Leeds this summer.

Other links

Newcastle United have been tentatively linked with a move for the United States international, but their move for AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali looks set to quash any move for Adams. Manchester United were also linked with a move for the combative Whites' midfielder prior to the World Cup, but talk has fallen quiet on that front.

Although there's little to suggest a concrete move to La Liga, Sevilla have been linked with a move for Adams after Victor Orta's appointment at the club. The Spaniard knows the American well from their time at Elland Road but early reports in Spain suggest the finances needed to pull off a deal may be difficult to find.
