'State of our club!' - Arsenal supporters fume over shock move to sign Liverpool star

Rumours linking Liverpool's Adam Lallana with a free transfer to Arsenal has got supporters talking.

According to The Mail, the midfielder has informed the runaway Premier League leaders of his desire to depart Anfield upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the season.

With the Reds looking unlikely to offer Lallana a new deal, it's claimed that his decision to leave is based upon his desire to play regular first-team football next season.

Arsenal transfer window verdict

The 31-year-old's availability is set to alert several Premier League clubs.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly both monitoring the situation and are poised to make offers to the player's representatives.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph claim that Leicester City are ready to rival the two north London clubs for Lallana's signature and they could have an advantage given that Brendan Rodgers knows the midfielder well, having signed him from Southampton during his spell in charge at Anfield.

Furthermore, West Ham United are also said to be among the list of interested clubs.

As expected, Gunners fans have had plenty to say about the Adam Lallana to Arsenal transfer rumour.

Take a look at what's been said on Twitter...

Jurgen Klopp has previously admitted that Lallana could leave Liverpool in the summer.

"Everything about Adam Lallana, Adam Lallana knows and I know, and I'm really happy for him that he’s in sensational shape at the moment; that’s what we try to show constantly, as often as we bring him in," Klopp told Sky Sports in January.

"He is a very important player in this moment. What will happen in the future, we will see. But for him, wherever it is – here or somewhere else – the only important thing is that he can show he is 100 per cent fit."
