A unique health food idea, backed with around £35,000 in investments and grants, was launched straight onto the board with major players. In a very short space of time, they now market their all-natural, free-from, sweet spread range across the UK and Ireland and have an eye on other international markets.

One multi-national, as well as a very large national company seeking a private label arrangement, has already approached Savvy Foods.

Although there’s a rising health epidemic in the UK, we spend £439m on sweet spreads each year, rising 7% year on year.

The company was very quick to demonstrate a possible solution to this dilemma with a range of spreads (including chocolate) that are actually nutritious, all-natural and free from any harmful additives.

Savvy has ecological concerns too; their products are 100% natural and contain no palm oil.

Due to unusual ingredients being almost impossible to source in the UK, the firm quickly obtained an import license to enable them to ship fresh produce directly into the country from Asia.

The team are also researching setting up premises in the countries that their products grow.

Savvy is a key player in great tasting and nutritious convenient foods, winning Yorkshire’s Best Sweet Preserve Award within months of launching.
