Just over a year ago I launched a fair trade fashion website after a series of trips to India and Africa that changed my life. I was traumatised by the stories of lives affected by human trafficking, and started to work with an organisation in Asia to support victims of this horrendous crime.
With more stories of lives affected here in the UK, I began partnering with organisations invested in rescuing, and restoring lives exploited by human trafficking, and started a website campaign called STOP The Traffick!
I designed, commissioned and now sell an entire collection of jewellery that supports different anti-trafficking charities in the UK and abroad.
Devastated by stories of children being sold and abused, I became more determined and launched a new campaign called Destiny Rescue to raise money to send undercover rescue agents to help children escape from traffickers.
A percentage of sales from Roseannah parties goes directly to the campaign and every time someone buys a Destiny Rescue STOP the Traffick! bracelet £5 is donated. Within two months of starting the campaign the first trafficked victim was rescued just before Christmas.
Saddened and angered by further stories of children being exploited in the UK, and wanting to do more to help victims, I launched a limited edition STOP the Traffick! Bracelet to support my own project to employ survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation here in the UK, giving them skills to leave the past behind and move independently into a new life.
