KitBrix is an innovative, groundbreaking and time-saving sports bag that promotes an active lifestyle and saves people time through effective kit management. No fuss, just organised kit.
I registered KitBrix in the summer of 2013, spent 12 months learning the basics of the manufacturing and retail industry in my spare time outside of work (yes, I have a day job), spent Christmas in China learning how to manufacture a product and dedicated every early morning, late evening and weekend into launching within a year of registration.
Six months after our official launch in August 2014, we have sold approximately 5,000 bags and have initial distribution agreements in US, Canada, South America, Middle East and Asia. In the words of my product, ‘keeping it together’ and managing my own time has been key. Although essentially we are selling a sports bag, we are doing more than that, we are saving people something that money can’t buy - ‘time’ - through the invention of a simple yet unbelievably effective kit organisation system.
We now have two employees and aim to turn over £500,000 this calendar year.
