I’m Nimo Omer, assistant editor of the Guardian’s new flagship daily newsletter, First Edition.

Expect all the big stories, original reporting, incisive analysis, our favourite reads of the day and, to round it all off, The Upside – a good news story to start the day in the best way possible.
