Bolton Wanderers have made a solid start to life back in League One and Sky Sports pundits agree that the club is firmly on an upward trajectory.
Ian Evatt's men drew 0-0 with Burton Albion on Monday night in front of the TV cameras - a result that made it nine points from the first six games of the campaign.
It leaves Wanderers sitting 12th, ahead of a testing trio of upcoming fixtures against Ipswich, Rotherham and Sunderland.
Bolton were left aggrieved not to have taken all three points against the Brewers in their last outing.
But ex-Wanderers defender Matt Mills, who was on pundit duty in the Sky studio, was still positive about his former club's chances this season.
“Yeah I hope so," said Mills, when asked if brighter times were coming back for Bolton.
"With the relegations, it got to a point where I started to fear for the club in terms of going out of the Football League.
“To have bounced back and got a promotion is a fantastic start and I think they’ll be looking to build on that this year.
“I think from the club’s point of view, of course staying in the league and getting that stability is important.
"But knowing him (Ian Evatt) like I do, I’m sure he’ll be trying to aim for the play-offs, so it’ll be an interesting season.”
Jobi McAnuff joined Mills on the Sky Sports sofa and pulled no punches, as to what Wanderers should be looking to achieve under Evatt this season.
“I think (promotion) has always got to be the aim and the ambition," he said. "You look around here tonight and for me, Bolton, certainly with the way that they’ve been going and getting promotion last season, they’re on an upward curve.
“You only have to look at some of the size of those other clubs around them.
"I think for these and Burton, if they’re in and around the mix as they are at the moment, they’ll be very happy with that and there’s no reason why they can’t continue that momentum.”
