The Wagon is a comedy content company. Since launching in the middle of 2013, The Wagon has come a long way from trying (and failing) to be the world’s first comedy YouTube multi-channel network (MCN) to producing funny content for brands and broadcasters.

Our first big coup was being asked to produce all of the video content for Jack Whitehall’s 2014 tour DVD. Seeing our work on the big screen at the O2 was surreally brilliant and a massive step in the right direction.

Work for big brands such as HTC and Jim Beam finally gave us the reassurance that we were on the right track. For the latter we undertook a unique year-long campaign gathering people’s honest opinions of Laphroaig Whisky in London, New York and the remote island of Islay. The reception to this (Adweek Ad of the Week during the World Cup, two million views on Facebook) was fantastic and incredibly rewarding.

Recently we have moved towards producing regular social content (Instagram video, Vine etc) for brands whilst ensuring we make content in our own unique and trademark style.

Winning retainers with the likes of Fitbit has allowed us to grow our team and tackle small business issues like cashflow and building long-term value.

This year is already shaping up to be incredibly fruitful with some great new clients and the dream of continued growth and financial stability becoming more apparent.

Joss Freestone and Freddie Waters are co-founders of The Wagon
