Eddie Nketiah got his Leeds United career off to the perfect start with a debut goal during the Whites' 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Salford City.
The Arsenal loanee opened the scoring with a close-range finish in the first half before Gaetano Berardi and Mateusz Klich made sure of the result.
After fighting off fierce competition to secure Nketiah's signature on Deadline Day, Marcelo Bielsa was delighted to see his new recruit off the mark.
Nketiah's pace and athleticism proved a thorn in Salford's side all evening, with the travelling Leeds supporters delighted with their first glimpse of their new addition.
Nketiah and Helder Costa both made their full debut for United at the Peninsula Stadium and it was fitting that the latter was the man to set up the opening goal.
It's early days but the 20-year-old's performance was an early indication that he will provide useful competition to Patrick Bamford and Tyler Roberts, when fit.
