Arsenal and Leeds United fans were all asking the same question on Tuesday night - why is Eddie Nketiah not starting for the Championship side?
The 20-year-old striker has been in fine form for the England Under-21s over the international break, and has made a decent impact off the bench so far this season at Elland Road.
But the on-loan striker is still yet to start a Championship game almost three months into the season, with Marcelo Bielsa instead preferring Patrick Bamford in the lone-striker role.
Bamford started again for Leeds in their match against Preston North End, but failed to score again - his eighth match in a row without a goal.
When Leeds went behind at Deepdale thanks to a Tom Barkhuizen goal with 15 minutes remaining, Bielsa finally called on Nketiah to try and change his side's fortunes.
Preston looked like holding onto all three points until the 87th minute, when Nketiah rose at the far post to nod in a looping header and send the travelling fans wild.
The Gunners are keeping a keen eye on Nketiah's progress and football.london understands managing director Vinai Venkatesham, chief negotiator Huss Fahmy and loans manager Ben Knapper all travelled to Yorkshire recently to check in on the striker's progress.
Arsenal had expected him to receive more opportunities at Leeds, and have the option to recall him in Janaury if they wish, with plenty of clubs keen on the striker.
Both Arsenal and Leeds fans are hoping he gets a few more games between now and then.
