SACRAMENTO, Calif. _ The Golden State Warriors finished with a 127-123 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday, cementing a game that showed them at their best and worst.
The Warriors at their best? Stephen Curry (42 points), Kevin Durant (29) Klay Thompson (20) and Draymond Green (12) all cracked double figures. They went 47-of-93 from the field and 21-of-47 from 3-point range.
The Warriors at their worst? They committed 14 turnovers that led to 29 points in transition. They nearly squandered a 15-point lead. The Kings featured Buddy Hield (32), Justin Jackson (28) Boban Bogdanovic (17), Willie-Cauley Stein (14) and Nemanja Bjelica (12) to crack double figures.
After playing staggered minutes in the past nine games, Curry played the entire fourth quarter for two reasons. He had a prolific night, shooting 14-of-26 from the field and 10-of-20 from the 3-point line. That marked the seventh time in Curry's career he made at least 10 3-pointers in a game. Warriors reserve guard Shaun Livingston also missed the entire second half with a sore left knee after playing four minutes in the first half.
The Warriors (26-14) prevailed in crunch time after failing to do so in Thursday's loss against the Houston Rockets. The Warriors also extended the regular-season series against the Kings to 2-0.
The Warriors and Kings set an NBA record for most 3-pointers made in a game (41).
