The opening of a new drive-thru Starbucks store in Wigan has created 15 jobs in the area.
The Starbucks at Parr Bridge Retail Park in Tyldesley was officially opened today (July 9) by the mayor of Wigan, councillor Yvonne Klieve.
The ‘contemporary’ store allows customers to sit in or use the drive thru lane, while people can also receive orders to their home via delivery partners Just Eat and Uber Eats.

The first 200 customers to visit the store will be given complimentary Starbucks gift bags while regular coffee tasting sessions have also been scheduled for the coming weeks.
Shakeel Jivraj, head of operations at Queensway Coffee Houses, said: “We are excited to open our new store in Tyldesley and becoming a part of the local community.
“The team are closely following the latest guidance from both the government and health authorities to keep everyone safe.”
While Starbucks is famed for its coffee, customers have recently been enjoying the latest vegan addition to its food menu.
The vegan breakfast sandwich has been so popular that some stores have had to double their stock levels due to demand.
Consisting of a Beyond Meat patty made from pea protein, a "tofu turmeric egg alternative" and "coconut oil based alternative cheese", our reviewer recently described it as 'surprisingly tasty'.
The Parr Bridge Retail Park store will be open from 7am until 7:30pm Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 7pm on Sunday.
