Starbucks offers NHS staff free coffee as a festive 'thank you'

Starbucks will give complimentary beverages to NHS employees as a seasonal present today, December 6.

The initiative, which is being implemented in conjunction with NHS Charities Together, is in its fourth year and is bigger than it has ever been.

"We want to thank NHS staff across the UK for all the work they do and as a token of our appreciation, we are bringing back the free Tall beverage on December 6," said Alex Rayner, General Manager of Starbucks UK.

"We know how much NHS staff have enjoyed taking part in this special day and it’s something we look forward to year after year, so we are thrilled to see our partnership with NHS Charities Together flourish," Rayner added.

Starbucks is going to expand its offerings by providing 19 hospitals without a Starbucks location in the area with Frappuccino, Mocha Flavoured Chilled Coffee, and Toffee Nut Latte Premium Instant Coffee.

Additionally, complimentary caramel waffles are being provided when a beverage is bought at participating Starbucks cafes inside NHS hospitals are something we proudly serve.

The project is part of an ongoing collaboration between NHS Charities Together and over 230 regional NHS charities.

Every Starbucks location nationwide has partnered with one of the more than 250 regional NHS charities to provide support to employees, patients, and communities throughout the United Kingdom.

NHS Charities Together offers a wide range of services, such as peer-to-peer support for workers, counselling, and helplines.

It also includes initiatives to lessen health disparities in nearby communities and aid in the NHS's long-term rehabilitation.
