Starbucks launching green and black 'phantom frappuccino' for Halloween - and it's totally vegan

You can expect Starbucks' latest offering to be all over your Instagram feed pretty soon with their limited-edition Halloween special launching this month.

Forget pumpkin spiced lattes, the coffee chain have gone all out for the spooky season with a "phantom frappuccino" that is the first of the kind in Europe,.

The iced beverage is black in colour and comes topped off with a slime-like green drizzle. You can make it even more of a wicked treat by adding a special coconut cream.

While it may look like it was made in a witch's cauldron, the drink is actually said to be tropical in flavour - made using spirulina extract, charcoal powder, as well as lime and lemon juice.

The drink will cost £2.70 and is also dairy-free, making it suitable for vegans who want to get in on the Halloween hype.

But you will need to act fast because the ghoulish drink will be haunting UK stores for six days only, from this Saturday (26 October).
