Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker releases final epic trailer for end of the saga

The end of the saga has finally arrived.

The last trailer for Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker shows off epic scenes from the final episode in the central Skywalker saga of the Star Wars franchise.

The sequel trilogy is set to come to an epic conclusion as Rey ( Daisy Ridley ) leads the light side of the force alongside the Resistance in an attempt to put a stop to the evil First Order and their villainous Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

However, could there be redemption for Ren yet?

The footage teases the potential darkness for Rey to come too, while the pair are set for an epic showdown that also demonstrates the full power of classic trilogy villain Emperor Palpatine ( Ian McDiarmid ).

In the trailer, Rey declares: "People keep telling me they know me. No one does."

As Kylo Ren comes out of the mist, his voice replies "I do," as a hint to darker connotations for Rey.
