There's a huge milestone in the new Star Wars movie.
Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker features the franchise's first gay kiss in its films, which is also a huge milestone for such a big Disney property too.
Fans of Star Wars have been waiting for such representation for years, with a large section of the fan base even calling for a gay romance between rebellious stormtrooper Finn ( John Boyega ) and skilled star-pilot Poe Dameron ( Oscar Isaac ).
Despite Isaac himself even advocating a romance, sadly it is not this pair who kiss during the film.
Isaac previously told Entertainment Weekly : "The truth is, as a performer… I can only do so much, cause I don’t write the scripts, but other than say I would think that that would be a great way for the story to go and a much more original one, but I think that, at least, what we can say is that it holds that potential."

Without giving anything away about who those are that lock lips, the kiss occurs between two women and rather late in the film and in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment.
One person tweeted: "Am I right in thinking that The Rise of Skywalker featured the first same-sex kiss in Star Wars? If so, bravo."
Director J.J. Abrams previously hinted of the kiss when speaking to Variety : "In the case of the LGBTQ community, it was important to me that people who go to see this movie feel that they're being represented in the film."
So, keep your eyes peeled towards the end for a real franchise milestone!
Elsewhere, one Star Wars actor has revealed that they wanted their character killed off before the end of The Rise of Skywalker.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is released on December 19, 2019.
