Mark Hamill will voice the evil doll Chucky in a new film.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the Star Wars star will play the villainous toy Chucky in a reboot of the 1988 horror classic Child's Play.
Also due to appear in the film are Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, and Brian Tyree Henry.
The film will follow the same plot of the original, centring on single mother Karen (Plaza), who gifts her son Andy (Bateman) a toy doll, unaware that it possesses the soul of a serial killer (voiced by Mark Hamill).
The Luke Skywalker is also due to reprise his iconic Jedi Knight role in the final instalment of the Skywalker saga in Star Wars: Episode IX later this year.
The actor recently suggested his character's appearance is only a cameo, which makes sense considering his death in previous instalment The Last Jedi.

Also due to return is original trilogy actor Billy Dee Williams in his iconic role as Lando Calrissian, while the late great Carrie Fisher will make a posthumous appearance as General Leia Organa via the use of unused footage from the preceding two films.
Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and more will also return for the film.
Little is known of the plot of the final film but we are sure tissues will be needed as the war between the Resistance and the First Order comes to its bloody conclusion.
We will probably know more at the Star Wars Celebration later this month.

Child's Play is released in US cinemas on June 21, 2019, but is yet to receive a UK release date.
