A year ago, Thailand's acclaimed Siam Sinfonietta performed the "Ultimate Star Wars Symphony Concert" with music from all nine films in the Star Wars universe up to that time.

The first epic event in the region to play music from all the movies with a full 80-piece orchestra and choir, last year's performance was completely packed and Star Wars fans urged the orchestra to do it again.
The concert was to raise funds for its tour of Carnegie Hall, and when the orchestra played in the legendary venue last year they won their fifth first prize in an international competition. Their performance of the Star Wars Main Title received a wild, enthusiastic standing ovation.
By popular demand, Somtow Sucharitkul is reprising the sold-out event with two rounds of "The Symphony Strikes Back!" concert which will take place in the Main Hall of Thailand Cultural Center, Ratchadaphisek Road, on Saturday March 30 at 7pm and Sunday March 31 at 4pm.
This time the youth orchestra will play even more music -- from all 10 released Star Wars films.
The repertoire of both shows will feature iconic pieces such as Star Wars Main Title, Imperial March, Duel Of The Fates, Cantina Band, Princess Leia's Theme, March Of The Resistance, Rey's Theme, Battle Of The Heroes, Parade Of The Ewoks, Jabba Flow and the Thailand premiere of The Rebellion Is Reborn from The Last Jedi.
The audiences are encouraged to don Star Wars costumes and relive all the great moments from the greatest sci-fi spectacle of all time with other Star Wars fanatics.
Tickets cost 900, 1,500, 2,300, 2,800 and 3,400 baht and can be purchased from ticketmelon.com and Opera Siam (call 061-971-6477). Proceeds will help fund the educational programme of Siam Sinfonietta, which gives the most gifted young Thai musicians free training for an international-level career.
