Worldwide, the seventh film in the "Star Wars" franchise has earned more than $1.86 billion.

In second place for the seven days ending Sunday was the Chinese animated film "Boonie Bears 3," which officially opened Saturday and has earned $20 million to date. Its opening-day take of $8.6 million was a record for a Chinese animated film, Artisan Gateway President Rance Pow said.

"Detective Chinatown" from director Chen Sicheng continued its strong showing. The Wanda Pictures release crossed the $100-million mark last week and had taken in $111.7 million through Sunday.

In fourth place was the new release "Go Fighting," a TV show spinoff that earned $12 million in its opening weekend.

Rounding out the top five was the Summit Entertainment film "The Last Witch Hunter," which earned $9.5 million Friday through Sunday.
