More than 800 items of Star Warsmemorabilia are being sold in an online auction held from Los Angeles.

Prop Store’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction is set to take place on 26-27 August, and will see props such as Darth Vader’s outfit and several lightsabers be made available to Star Wars fans.

The Vader outfit was used during the promotional tour for the original Star Wars (later subtitled Episode IV -A New Hope). It is expected to be auctioned for $250,000 (~£191,000)

Boba Fett’s Helmet, as featured in Return of the Jedi in 1983, is also up for auction, and is expected to sell for $30,000 (£22,900).

While most of the higher-priced items originate in the beloved original Star Wars trilogy, items from George Lucas’s divisive prequels are also up for grabs, as well as items from the Disney era.

These include the lightsaber hilt used for duelling by Obi-Wan Kenobi, as played by Ewan McGregor. McGregor is set to reprise the role in a forthcoming sequel miniseries, produced for Disney+.

The distinctive angular lightsaber wielded by Count Dooku (Christopher Lee) is another item on offer.

Prop Store COO Brandon Alinger released a statement, which reads: “Prop Store is known for focusing on the 1970s and 1980s with our memorabilia auctions, and we’re thrilled to continue our tradition of offering quality Star Wars lots with the original 1977 touring Darth Vader costume in this auction.

“In addition to being worn at promotional events for the original movie, the helmet’s dome has the distinction of featuring on the Advance poster for The Empire Strikes Back.”

Registration is now open here. Fans can follow the bidding on auction days online via a livestream. Online proxy bids can now be submitted.
