Madonna turned down collaboration with David Guetta because he's a Scorpio

If there is one thing Madonna is Hung Up on, it’s star signs.

The icon was accused of refusing to work with David Guetta after discovering he was a Scorpio.

And now lyricist Sir Tim Rice, 76 – who made the hit film Evita with Madge – reckons he was snubbed for the same reason.

Tim says: “No wonder Madge hasn’t been in touch with me since the Evita movie back in 1996, for I am a humble Scorpio too.

David Guetta was all set to work with Madonna until he revealed his star sign (PA)

“Madonna is a Leo – known for stubbornness, ambition and honesty, preferring to do things their own way, sometimes meeting others with great opposition when this preference is challenged.

“Scorpios, on the other hand, are characterised by shyness, willpower and artistic talent. Mysterious and interesting, we rarely enjoy taking the centre stage, preferring to handle our work behind the scenes. How true.”

Tim says Madge, 62, lived up to her star sign by ignoring his direction on set, even though she admitted she was “totally and utterly intimidated” by him and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

He adds: “Scorpios don’t believe in astrology – frankly, we believe it is a load of cobblers. This might explain why my tentative request that Mad-onna should not sing Another Suitcase in Another Hall in the film was ignored.”

Last month DJ Guetta, 53, told how Madonna had been keen to work with him after he won a Grammy in 2011 for his remix of her song Revolver.

But things then took a turn for the worse over lunch after Guetta revealed he was a Scorpio.

He said: “Suddenly, she makes a face and she says to me, ‘I’m sorry, we’re not going to be able to work together. It was a pleasure to know you. Goodbye!’ ”

Sounds like Madge is living on another planet.
