Star Hobson's evil killer 'walks grinning around prison with guards protecting her'

The woman who tortured and murdered toddler Star Hobson walked around a prison grinning with 'up to five guards' protecting her against attacks, according to a TV documentary.

Savannah Brockhill, an amateur boxer and security guard, is said to be surrounded by guards in jail to prevent her from being assaulted.

A lag told Channel 5 documentary HMP Styal: Women Behind Bars: "We've all seen it on the news, but then to have the actual person be actually thrown into Styal. Everyone was at the windows, everyone was screaming, shouting.

"But luckily enough, we were all locked in at the certain time [she came in] so no one can get to her."

The prisoner added: "You don't go and do that and go walk around the prison with a big smile on your face thinking no one's gonna get you.

"I don't know how she can live with herself knowing that she did that and she's still walking around with a big smile on her face," reports Birmingham Live.

In December, Brockhill stood trial alongside her ex-partner and 16-month old Star's mum, Frankie Smith, 20, who was convicted of allowing her daughter Star's death. She was jailed for eight years.

Evil Brockhill was jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum of 25 years. She laughed in court when she was sentenced.

The judge at the seven-week trial at Bradford Crown Court before Christmas had observed Star was "caught in the crossfire" of the narcissistic, on-off relationship between the couple who were supposed to be looking after her.

The tot's "short life was marked by neglect, cruelty and injury", said Mrs Justice Lambert, addressing the two defendants sitting apart in the dock. Star died after Brockhill kicked or punched her in the stomach with all the force of a crashing car in Keighley, West Yorkshire, in September 2020, according to a medical expert.
