Stapleford firefighters called out to job as H's identity was revealed on Line of Duty

Firefighters were called out just as H was being revealed in the final episode of police drama Line of Duty.

Stapleford firefighters made a plea to the public to be extra careful on Sunday evening between 9pm and 10pm so they could watch the grand finale.

Posting on their Facebook page, they said: "Firefighters are urging you to be extra specially safe this evening.

"Between the hours of 9pm and 10pm there should be ‘no requests for help!!’ If our pagers go off you’ll hear us cry “for the mother of God”. (As we respond normally)

"To confirm, no fires, 9-10pm as all we are interested in is ‘bent coppers’, stay safe, check your smoke alarms.

"Also, for legal reasons, I’ve been asked to add by my boss ‘who is one rank higher’, that if you need a fire engine, you can call us as, our crew remain available as normal."

But then the dreaded thing happened - their pagers went out off at 9.44pm and they were called out to a fire.

The details of the blaze have not been disclosed.

But the fire service said: "Sent in by an angry wife! - "44 minutes in and the pagers went off" Our team were called out at 21:44 last night."

Nottinghamshire Live contacted Stapleford Fire Station to find out more details but no one was available for comment (perhaps catching up on last night's episode).
