Staple Hill assault: Police release CCTV image after man's jaw broken with a single punch

A man suffered a broken jaw after he was punched once in the face in a Bristol suburb.

Police have today (Wednesday, December 1) released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following the incident in Staple Hill.

The victim needed hospital treatment after the assault which happened in High Street at around 1am on Sunday, September 26.

Avon and Somerset Police said: "CCTV enquiries have been carried out and we’re now releasing an image of an individual who we wish to identify and talk to in connection with our investigation.

"He’s described as white, approximately 40-45 years old, of a large build, with short spiky dark hair and wore a white T-shirt."

Anyone who recognises him, or witnessed the incident, is asked to call 101 and give reference number 5221224176.
