Stanningley Bypass to close eastbound for three nights

A busy bypass will be closed for overnight for three days.

Stanningley Bypass will be closed to traffic travelling eastbound between the hours of 8pm and 5am, from Monday, February 10, to Wednesday, February 12.

Outside of these hours it will be business as usual.

A notice issued by Leeds Council said: "Take notice that in the interests of public safety it is considered necessary to prohibit vehicular use of A647 Stanningley Bypass (Eastbound), Stanningley, Leeds in the Pudsey Ward, between its junctions with Bradford Road and Henconner Lane."

The road will be closed to allow for sweeping, gully cleaning and pot hole repairs.

Bus diversions will be in place for services 4 and 9.

Metro Travel News said: "Diversion in place for services 4 and 9 due to night-time closure of the StanningleybyPass from 8pm to 5am on Mon 10/02, Tues 11/02 & Weds 12/02. Buses divert: From #Pudsey normal route to Swinnow Road then via (R) Swinnow Lane (L) Pudsey Road."

Motorists will be diverted using the following roads - Bradford Road, Town Street, Stanningley Road, Henconner Lane.
