Stanley dog owner feels targeted by broken glass tipped over fence

A pet owner in Stanley was horrified to find broken glass had seemingly been deliberately sprinkled in their garden to harm their dogs.

It happened more than once and the person contacted a local social media page which helps keep Perthshire people who own dogs and cats in touch.

On Sunday Missing Pets in Perth and Kinross reported the warning for other people in the area to keep their eyes open following the alleged incident.

“This is a warning for pet owners to carefully check their gardens in the Stanley area of Perthshire as someone has deliberately sprinkled broken glass in a garden and along a fence line.

“The homeowner has dogs and was confused why her dogs paws were bleeding and covered in cuts - until she found the broken glass.

“Even with clearing the glass up, it’s reappeared so someone is doing this repeatedly on purpose.

“This behaviour could cause serious harm to dogs, cats and other wildlife.”

The post caused outrage from animal lovers who were incensed to hear about the glass appearing in the garden.
