Stan Kroenke releases statement confirming he will not sell Arsenal amid takeover bid

Stan Kroenke has officially declared he has no intention of selling Arsenal.

Arsenal owner Kroenke and Josh have issued a public statement in the wake of Spotify billionaire Daniel Ek making a £1.8billion offer for the club.

Mirror Sport revealed yesterday the Kroenkes were not interested in selling at any price - and the US owners have now made that official with a statement from KSE.

The statement said: “In recent days we have noted media speculation regarding a potential takeover bid for Arsenal Football Club. We remain 100% committed to Arsenal and are not selling any stake in the Club. We have not received any offer and we will not entertain any offer.

“Our ambition for Arsenal remains to compete to win the biggest trophies in the game and our focus remains on improving our competitiveness on the pitch to achieve this.

Stan Kroenke and Josh Kroenke, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.”

That should kill off talk of Ek making a bid despite public support from Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira after the European Super League fiasco.

It quickly gained fan support but is now dead in the water and will kill off Ek’s chances and spikes his guns ahead of a TV interview on Wednesday when he was hoping to unveil his plans.
