Stan Collymore has reaffirmed his belief Leeds United will return to the Premier League next May and praised Ian Wright’s mentoring of their loanee Eddie Nketiah.
Writing in his Sunday People column, Collymore praised the efforts of the Match of the Day pundit in making it to Elland Road on Wednesday night.
Arsenal legend Wright has taken a special interest in their future star and watched him score the match-winning goal from the bench against Brentford.
Collymore also repeated his pre-season prediction of the Whites finishing in the top two.
“It was good to see Ian Wright supporting Eddie Nketiah at Leeds on Wednesday. More ex-pros should be mentoring younger players,” he wrote.
“Leeds and Fulham were my pre-season tips for automatic promotion from the Championship and their starts to the season have only reaffirmed my belief.”
